I Got Accepted(Finally)

I guess being in a conservative community, the values that are integrated in, takes root in every one of us no matter how much we want to be liberal.

Our defiance(especially mine) to conform to society's values holds no ground when we ourselves are subjected to the trivial tests and sequences where in the end we are accepted.

Yes, I have to admit. I got accepted by society. I got accepted by something which I detest sometimes. I readily and shamelessly(my body is ready) submitted myself to a body of double standards.

I got accepted into a public school.

I wouldn't say I was surprised. You see, there were interviews and I thought I did a good job in every single one of them. Having gotten all the offers made my day as well(cock now aren't we?)

This is a big deal because of the institutionalized racism happening here and my scores aren't that great to say the least. There are countless others who gotten better scores than I have, who could've gotten a cool course like mine.

I must say, I deserve every single ounce of victory because I worked my butt off for it, researching, being pedantic about everything, getting stressed out, gotten breakouts and Goddamn eye bags.

Being who I am, news like this are to be celebrated by the whole extended family. But none of them rang, I'm guessing because none of their kids are in public schools. Oh well

Now I just gotta wait. Wait til I detest again.
